InQuest Camp 2008 ~ Sola Scriptura


	Sola Scriptura comes from the Latin phrase meaning “by Scripture alone”. It was one of the five foundational, doctrinal principles during the Reformation that Protestants stood by while defining their theological beliefs. Sola Scriptura means that Scripture alone is our authority because it has come from God (1 Thessalonians 2:13). Scripture is our teacher and thus, sufficient for life and godliness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Your students will learn about the uniqueness of the authority of the Bible and the effect it has as the authority in their lives. Our desire is that your students will engage God’s Word and understand the doctrine of Sola Scriptura as a defining belief in their walk with the Lord.

	SHONN KEELS Height: 6’0” Weight: 240 lbs. Hometown: Myrtle Beach, SC Shonn is a member of Team Impact which is an evangelistic ministry that uses the gifts of elite athletes to perform feats of strength and share the gospel of Christ. Among other things, Shonn is a former rescue swimmer in the United States Navy. After his stint in the military, his competitive nature led him into powerlifting, where he often benchpressed twice his bodyweight! Shonn is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary. He is an international speaker, communicating to thousands of people each year. Shonn is also the Senior Pastor of Carolina Forest Community Church. One of his favorite verses is, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation of everyone who believes...” Romans 1:16
